We are looking for an experienced electrical and automation design manager to join the technical department in a growing international team. If you have all the qualifications and experiences with the similar work this might be the oppurtunity to join us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the development of design products in accordance with design and construction schedule
• Overseeing the design process using technical expertise. Review and control the conformance of the design products to quality standards and safety concepts.
• Discuss any risk factors, conflicts of interest and opportunities for improvement with technical director CJV.
• Conduct regular design meetings with the design team. Coordinate the design with Construction needs, means and schedule. Overview interdisciplinary coordination and interface aspects
• Reviewing designs with health and safety in mind.
• Ensure ongoing quality management, project management and document management in the design assignment.
• Working with clients to ensure that their expectations are met.
• Ensure that all the information the design teams need to carry out the detailed design in a good way is available.

SKILLS

• Proficient in MS Office
• Proficient in English Language
• In-depth knowledge of construction techniques and methodologies
• Project Management Methodologies
• In-depth knowledge of Plants and Machines
• In-depth knowledge of design principles, analysis and development
• Familiarity with the following codes and specifications: NEK 600 Electro and telecommunications in the road traffic systems, NEK 400 Low-voltage electrical installations
• General Electromechanical Knowledge: Electrical LV and lighting , UPS/ emergency power supply, SCADA system, CCTV, Communication networks (FO transmission networks; radio networks),Ventilation

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Training: Technical Degree (Engineering/ Civil or equivalent)

Experience: 10 years in the construction sector

Experience in Norway in the same or similar position is highly recommended

SOTRA Link Construction awarded the contract to build the new Sotra connection for the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. This includes Norway’s first 4-lane suspension bridge. New road is scheduled to open on June 1, 2027. Our head office is located in Knarrevik Business Park, just across the Sotra bridge.
